Purpose of the Foundation

While Rio Hondo College continues to increase the number of students it serves and programs it provides, state funding has not increased accordingly.

The Foundation secures alternative funding through contributions from individuals, corporations, foundations, and non-profits to assist the College in meeting its commitment to educational excellence and access.

The Foundation's mission is to secure financial assistance for scholarships, programs, equipment, and projects which meet the need of the College's growing student population.

Donate to the Len A. Grandy Scholarship

Len Grandy, the 1st employee of Rio Hondo College and a former college President, established a scholarship endowment to help Rio Hondo students. If you would like to contribute to the fund in the memory of this remarkable educator, please the image below.

Foundation Launches Campaign to Build a Memorial Wall

The Foundation has launched a new campaign to raise money to build a Memorial Wall for the 21 Rio Hondo Police Academy alumni who have died in the line of duty. The Memorial Wall will become a feature of the new $14.7 million Administration of Justice and Police Academy Building. Click here to learn more about this project and how you can help.
