For the past 10 years, students enrolled in GIS at the community college either work and have been requested to perform GIS, or changing positions or careers, graduated from university and job prospects require GIS or simply students exploring career options. GIS is a horizontal technology as reflective of our students including LAPD, County Sheriff to local fire, Department of Health, Public Works, Parks and Recreation to Education, Accessor, Children Services and many local cities.
Lessons are practical with the use of local geographic information in lessons from community analysis, incident mapping, digitizing to field data collection (GPS). Furthermore, we can come to your agency or facility to make custom GIS training economical and convenient for your employees as we have for several agencies with the County of Los Angeles, Los Angeles Police Department, and other agencies throughout Southern California.
Note: The Community College system has increased in student population. However, courses are cancelled if students do not register before the scheduled start date.
