Whether you are a recent high school graduate, a returning student, or a first time college student, we are here for you. We offer comprehensive programs of study in Health Sciences; Public Safety; Math, Sciences and Engineering; Behavioral and Social Sciences; Communications; Kinesiology, Dance, and Athletics; Performing and Fine Arts; Business, and Career Technical Education. Rio Hondo currently offers 27 Associate Degrees for Transfer, which are designed to ensure transfer to a four-year institution. Additionally, we offer a variety of Career Technical programs to prepare you for the workforce such as: Computer Information Technology, Graphic Arts and Design, Fire Science, and Automotive and Alternative Fuel Technology, to name a few.
In addition, Rio Hondo offers students the opportunity to participate in extracurricular activities such as clubs, competitive sports, journalism, and artistic performance. We are proud of our highly competitive intercollegiate athletic sports for men and women, including soccer, basketball, baseball, swimming, volleyball and wrestling. The college Forensics team is nationally recognized and our Journalism students have represented the college in numerous successful competitions.
