Admission Guidelines for 9th-12th Grade Students
In accordance with the Education Code, Rio Hondo College
will consider for enrollment students under 18 years of age. Students
between the 9th and 12th grades are considered "Enrichment Students". The
enrollment, health and student representative fees are waived for Enrichment students.
The following application materials are
required for admission:

Complete a
Rio Hondo College Application for Admission
online. 9th-12th
grade students must apply every semester until they graduate from high
school.

Submit the
High School
Permission
letter filled out
and signed by
the school principal or vice principal including:

The specific course requested (e.g. History 143-U.S.
History.). Students will only be allowed to register non-remedial
classes and only the classes listed on the Permission letter.

A parent/legal guardian signature.

An authentic, embossed school seal must be stamped on
the letter.

Complete the Rio Hondo College
Assessment Process if
you plan to enroll in a Math, Reading or English class which has a prerequisite.
Enrichment students register during open registration.
They are limited to a maximum of seven units per semester.
