Sheila Lynch is a Professor of Art and Art History with an MFA degree in Sculpture from Claremont Graduate University and a BA degree in Painting and Drawing from CSUF. She is currently teaching art history in London for Rio Hondo’s Study Abroad program. Among the classes she teaches most are: Art 105 + 105H: Survey of Art History from Prehistoric through Medieval Periods; Art 110: Understanding Visual Art; Art 112: Visual Art in the Modern Era; and Art 180: Art Gallery Display Design. In partnership with faculty in the architecture area, she teaches a learning community designed to inform architecture students about art. She also writes about art, with work published by New Art Examiner, Los Angeles Reader, Artweek, and McGraw-Hill Higher Ed and has contributed essays for museum and gallery exhibition catalogs.
