Regular meetings of the Rio Hondo Community College District
Board of Trustees are held on the second Wednesdays of every
month at 6:00 p.m. Meetings are normally held in the Board Room at the
college (3600 Workman Mill Road, Whittier, in the Administration Building)
unless otherwise noted.
All meetings are open to the public and
we encourage the community to attend.

Board Agendas
Board Agendas for meetings of the Board of Trustees are
distributed as required by law. You can also access the Board Agenda on this
website by clicking on the section titled - Board of Trustees Agendas and Minutes
to the left.
Agendas are listed by date with the most current on top. Minutes are uploaded
to the website as they are
approved by the Board of Trustees on a month to month basis. Members of the public shall be allowed to place
items directly related to district business on the agenda. Such items must
be submitted on the form provided by the District to the President of the college at least ten (10) days prior to the regular
meeting of the Board. You can request one of these from by calling
the President's Office at (562) 908-3403.
Public Participation
Members of the public may address the Board of Trustees
regarding items on the agenda by completing the form provided by the District
and submitting it to the Secretary of the Board prior to the agenda item being
discussed. The President of the Board shall determine whether to allow the
public to speak on the item before or during the Board's consideration of the
item.
The public shall be given the opportunity to address the Board
on any item of interest to the public within the subject matter/jurisdiction of
the Board. Such remarks shall be made during "Oral Communication from
the Public". Presentation by a member of the public on matters
relating to an agenda item or during "Oral Communication from the
Public" shall be limited to three (3) minutes. An extension of this
time may be granted by a majority vote of the Board. In cases where more
than than one member of the public wishes to address an agenda item, the
President of the Board may allocate a finite amount of time for public input on
that particular agenda item.
Should the President of the Board determine that a member(s) of
the public is / are willfully interrupting the proceedings of the Board meeting,
such person(s) may be removed from the meeting. If order still cannot be
restored, the meeting room may be cleared. Members of the news media who
have not participated in the disturbance shall then be allowed to continue to
attend the meeting or the Board may choose to adjourn the meeting.
