Rio Hondo has partnered with the Internal Revenue Service in the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program. IRS-certified student volunteers provide FREE basic income tax return preparation to qualified individuals & families who earn $54,000 or less for tax filing year 2016 (2017 tax season).
For the 2017 tax season, we will be open on Fridays from 9:30am-3:30pm (Last taxpayer will be served at 2:30pm)

The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program (VITA) is a certificate program offered in conjunction with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and the California Franchise Tax Board (FTB). Students that complete this program can volunteer to participate in the college’s VITA Days, assisting community customers in filing their state and federal income tax returns.
