Reading Department

Georgia Gaspar received her B.A. in English and her M.A. in Education with an emphasis in Reading from California State University, Long Beach.   She has taught reading and English at the secondary, community college, and university levels.   Before joining the Communications' faculty at Rio Hondo in the Fall of 1988, she taught at Long Beach City college, California State University at Long Beach, and the University of Maine.   She currently teaches all levels of reading and study skills courses as well as English as a Second Language.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and son, traveling, and of course, reading.
