The Foreign Language/ENLA lab is located in the Learning Resource Center, LR-117
The Foreign Language/ENLA Lab provides a place for students of both Foreign Languages and ENLA classes to practice the language they are studying. The students have the opportunity to complete tasks in the target language. These tasks supplement and enhance the material presented in the classroom. The Lab consists of 34 computer stations connected to the Internet. We use several programs in all the different languages. The programs provide audio and video, as well as a recording feature that allows students to record their own speech. Some of the programs are linked to the textbooks used in the courses, and some of them are programs independent of textbooks. In addition to the computer stations there are three small conference rooms equipped with white boards and a table and chairs for small group discussions or conferences with instructors. An Instructional Assistant and Foreign Language and ENLA faculty are available to assist students with their lab practice.
