Hula for Fitness
(Ages 4-6yrs)
Learn the exotic dances of the Hawaiian Islands. This low impact dance is great for adults of all ages. This is a great way to stay active by learning the meaning behind those graceful hand gestures and move to the music of the islands. Students will feel beautiful and keep fit with hula dancing.

Kids Hip Hop
Come learn to dance Hip-Hop like on TV! We will teach you the basic steps of Hip-Hop dance in a fun, high energy setting. The best thing is that you will make new friends and develop good sportsmanship!

Guitar for Children
In this class you will learn the basics of playing guitar and be able to identify and play basic first position chords. You will learn the skills necessary for playing Folk, Pop, Rock and Blues. Students must bring a guitar to the first class meeting.
Note: In an effort to provide a positive experience for students, the instructor may group students according to experience and skill. Students may be asked to meet later than the scheduled time listed below.

Piano for Children
This course is great for beginners. Students will learn the basics of the piano and music theory. Learn how to read and play music.

Youth Etiquette
(Ages 7-12)
This is a fun and informative program that provides a foundation for good manners, dining skillfulness, and leadership ability. Topics include using a cell phone, introducing yourself and others, and what to do at the dinner table.

Conversational Spanish for Children
(Ages 7-10)
Students will learn basic Spanish while having fun by using songs, a variety of games, movement, colorful visual aids and practical conversation. Children will learn sounds of vowels, consonants, family members, days of the week, and seasons. Promote the value of a culturally diverse society by supporting, respecting, and usage in personal, social, and cultural interactions with special emphasis on vocabulary.

Enhanced Memory Techniques
(Grades 7th – 12th)
Pass tests, do well on quizzes and succeed with your memory. Learn world-wide, never before presented techniques to improve your memory and study skills. Many results will be immediate. Digital Camera Magic
(Grades 4-7)
Hey, I just shrunk my best friend! In this zany hands-on digital camera class we will have loads of fun as we learn how to create amazing mind boggling optical camera allusions, like friends sitting in the palms of our hands! Students will also learn basic skills for setting automatic and manual camera exposure modes and techniques for composing interesting images. Simple methods for transferring images from the camera to the computer, uploading and storing images online, emailing photos, creating slideshows, and perform basic image enhancements will be covered. Student must bring to every class meeting: a camera and the user’s guide, the camera’s USB connector cable, extra batteries, and a USB flash drive.

Photoshop for Teens
(Grades 7-12)
Have fun creating the coolest images using Photoshop Elements. Learn to use photo editing techniques, simple layering, masking, and filtering tools to combine multiple photos to create images that will wow your friends. Each student must bring a USB flash drive to every class meeting. Students may also bring their own uploaded photos on a USB flash drive to use for the projects, and two of the three assignments completed in class will be printed and mounted to take home.
Mad Science Camps
Space and Spies!
(Ages 5-12)
Team-up with NASA and explore our amazing galaxy. Comets, planets, stars and more are waiting to be discovered! Learn about the four forces of flight and discover the surprising challenges of space travel. Wait…that’s not all! The Mad Science Spy Academy is in session! From edible messages and decoding clues, campers will have the opportunity to check out the skills that spies have in this hands-on journey into the world of espionage. Campers will make and take home their own Secret Code Breaker to communicate stealthily at home, like real spies.

Mad Machines & Red Hot Robots
(Ages 5-12)
Let the machines begin…Children will discover how many simple machines we use in our daily lives. Campers will design simple machines using wedges, screws and levers and have fun learning how catapults work…then we move on to the fun with Mad Science robots! Each camper will build and take home our BRAND NEW ROBOT for summer 2011, all the while learning the science of robotics.
Bio Blast & Reaction Action
(Ages 5-12)
For some bug watching and earth exploring, come join Mad Science for a Blast of Biology. Campers will go on an insect safari and explore the wonderful world of animals. The get ready for Reaction Action! Campers will build their own bridge and see how it reacts to natures unexpected surprises! Then…Campers will see crazy chemistry in action while they make and take-home their very own slime and crystal gardens.

Super Solar Robots & Sun-Sational Energy!
(Ages 5-12)
Go green with Mad Science! Combine robotic ingenuity and solar studies to build your very own solar powered robot! Explore and capture sources of energy and discover how scientists utilize them! The sun can power our robots but can it power an oven to cook up a yummy snack? Campers learn to recycle, reuse and reduce with Mad Science! (The take home robot is not the same one robot built in Mad Machines and Red Hot Robots)

Math Academy
(Grades 2nd – 3rd)
Qualified instructors will lead this course for students entering grades 2 - 3. Topics include grade level concepts of math, basic fact practice, and story problems. This class will help strengthen skills through repetition and reinforcement. A great way to help prepare for the Fall!

(Grades 4th – 5th)
Qualified instructors will lead this course for students entering grades 4 - 5. Topics include grade level concepts of math, basic fact practice, and problem solving. This class will help strengthen skills through repetition and reinforcement. A great way to help prepare for the grade!
Pre-Algebra Academy
(Ages 10 -13)
Qualified instructors will lead this introduction to Pre Algebra. Topics include a review of elementary mathematics, integers, algebraic expressions, and beginning equations. A great preparation for the junior high school years!
Algebra 1 Academy
(Ages 10 -13)
Qualified instructors will lead this introduction to Algebra 1. Topics include variables and algebraic equations, integers, inequalities, and expressions. Students will gain a base knowledge of problem solving strategies. A great way to get a head start in algebra!
Geometry Academy
(Ages 13-17)
Qualified instructors will teach this course as an introduction to high school geometry. Topics include geometric definitions and constructions, congruence and measurement, reasoning skills, and proofs. This class is a great way to help your child prepare for the next level.

Reading Academy
(Grades 2nd & 3rd)
Qualified instructors will lead this course for students entering grades 2 - 3. Topics include phonics, vocabulary development, and comprehension strategies using a variety of grade appropriate literature. A great way to help your child prepare for the next grade!

Public Speaking Academy
(Grades 2nd – 5th)
Qualified instructors will lead this course in beginning public speaking. Students will learn the different types of speech at their grade level, beginning with introductions, poems, and short speeches. Emphasis will be on voice and speech techniques in a non-threatening and supportive environment.
SAT Prep (Math & English)
(Grades 9th – 12th)
Qualified instructors will lead this course in preparing for the SAT. Topics include the 6 mathematics areas tested: numbers and operations, algebra and functions, geometry, statistics, and data analysis. This course will cover vocabulary, essay writing, identifying errors, improving sentences and paragraphs. Test taking strategies for the SAT will also be included.
