  Develop Project / Need Through Planning Process  
  Project Team meets with Dean to develop program design  
Path A – No Funding Identified

 

Project Team, with Dean's approval seeks assistance from GDO to research funding opportunities for project

 

Once identified, GDO works with Project Team to obtain RFP and / or funding Guidelines

   Path B – Funding Opportunity Identified

 

Project Team or GDO receives RFP from funding agency or other source

 

GDO notifies all Deans and/or appropriate staff of RFP opportunity. Deans disseminate information to their appropriate staff

  Project Team meets with GDO to ensure funding guidelines and college planning documents are in line with the program design

 

Project Team completes Grant Launch Pad with Dean’s signature and endorsement before submission to GDO

 

GDO brings Launch Pad to area VP and President’s Cabinet for review and approval

 

Proposal Timeline created by GDO and approved by Project Team

 

Grant proposal drafted by Project Team and coordinated by GDO.  Team gets help from Accounting, HR, etc.

 

Proposals reviewed, edited, and submitted to VP and President for Final Approval

 

Proposal copied and submitted by GDO to funder

 
IF FUNDED

Grant award notification will be sent to GDO and Project Team

 

GDO coordinates preparation of agenda item and submits for board approval

 

GDO, Dean and Project Team meet to review budget, reporting requirements and clarify any other key grant info

 

GDO manages and monitors reporting as required by funder

  IF NOT FUNDED

GDO will request funding source feedback.  Feedback forwarded to Dean and Project Team

 

If applicable, Project Team will revise proposal and GDO will submit again as appropriate
