| Rio Hondo College
Students will be visiting 6th graders from the schools of Burke,
North Park and Rivera Middle Schools as part of the "I'm Going to
College!" program activities. The college students will be
sharing personal experiences that made them decide to go to
college and obstacles they may have encountered along the way.
They will also talk about what they like about college and what
they would recommend students do in the 6th grade to get ready for
that venture. The 45 minute assembly will also include a
power point presentation by Martha Carreon on how to get involved
in the IGTC program and how to get ready for college. |
