Jodi Senk, Ed.D
Welcome to El Monte Educational Center (EMEC)! My name is Dr. Jodi Senk (aka “Dr. J”), and on behalf of Rio Hondo College, I am pleased to be the Coordinator of the Center and provide additional educational opportunities for the community. I hope you will have a chance to join us at EMEC for classes towards a degree, certificate, or to enhance your professional development and lifelong learning.
Currently, I am a professor in Kinesiology and Coordinator of the Fitness Specialist Certificate Program, as well as the Coordinator at EMEC. I have an Ed.D. in Organizational Leadership from Pepperdine University, and a B.S. in Exercise Science and an M.A. in Exercise Physiology from the University of Connecticut.
I am here to assist you in any way I can and to facilitate your educational experience and learning. Looking forward to serving you!

Helia Gomez, Senior Secretary
Helia will assist you with any questions you may have regarding classes and services available here at EMEC and at the main campus. If she doesn’t know the answer to your question, she will direct you to the appropriate person and/or department.
Sally Willsey, M.S., Instructional Assistant
As the Instructional Assistant here at EMEC, Sally’s job is multifaceted. Her primary focus is on the students, if there is something you need assistance with; tutoring, connecting to the WiFi, please come in to the Administration Office to see Sally. Her next focus is on our professors here at EMEC, technical assistance or anything else the professor needs assistance with for the classroom is her next priority. Finally, Sally’s ultimate goal is to make the learning experience here at EMEC enjoyable and comfortable.
