Purpose of the Foundation

While Rio Hondo College continues to increase the number of students it serves and programs it provides, state funding has not increased accordingly.

The Foundation secures alternative funding through contributions from individuals, corporations, foundations, and non-profits to assist the College in meeting its commitment to educational excellence and access,

The Foundation's mission is to secure financial assistance for scholarships, programs, equipment, and projects which meet the need of the College's growing student population.

"Boots to Books: Helping Our Veterans Transition to College" Is Theme of The Inaugural President's Gala

The Rio Hondo College Foundation will sponsor the Inaugural President's Gala entitled "Boots to Books: Helping Our Veterans Transition to College" on Saturday, April 12 at 6:00 p.m. at the Pacific Palms Resort in the City of Industry.

The "black-tie optional" event will raise funds to support scholarships and other services for veterans at Rio Hondo College.
