Update for Spring 2012:
GO RIO
Continues to use TAP (Transit Access Pass)
In Fall 2011 GO RIO moved to smart technology this Fall with the introduction of the TAP (Transit Access Pass) card. TAP cards will now be issued during the 2011-12 year in place of the former GO RIO sticker.
TAP cards will be loaded with the GO RIO pass product and will be valid for use on all of the above transit partners.
Please check back with this website in mid-January for
information on when new TAP cards will be available for
Spring 2012. If you received a blue TAP card in Fall 2011,
please hold on to your TAP card because it can be re-used.
Students will be able to have the Spring 2012 access loaded
onto the blue GO RIO TAP cards on or around January 30,
2012. Further details regarding TAP card reloading for
Spring 2012 semester will be included in a future e-mail
message. A $10 replacement fee will be charged for any TAP
card that has been lost, stolen, or discarded.
If students do lose the TAP card, they should call (866) TAP-TOGO or (866) 827-8646 to report it lost or stolen so the card can be deactivated immediately. Students must be prepared to show their Rio Hondo College photo ID along with their TAP card. Each GO RIO user will have a special code that will match the code on his/her TAP card.
If you intend to use the GO RIO
program in Spring 2012 - or at any time in the future –
please hold on to your blue TAP card because it can be
re-used. Although the Fall 2011 access will expire on
Saturday, December 10, students will be able to have the
Spring 2012 access loaded onto the blue GO RIO TAP cards on
or around January 30, 2012. Further details regarding
TAP card reloading for Spring 2012 semester will be included
in a future e-mail message. If anyone disposes of or loses
their TAP card and then decides to use GO RIO in the future,
a $10 TAP card replacement fee will need to be paid.
Please check the transit partner websites below for updated information regarding changes to bus routes, fare, and schedules.
