Enrollment in honors sections is open to all continuing students who have completed English 101
with at least a “C” grade. First semester RHC students may enroll in honors sections if they are also enrolled in English 101 and have permission
from the Program Director, Rebecca Green, or Honors Counselor, Martha De La Mora.
First semester students are not eligible for
English 201H or Psychology 210H. Note that there are additional prerequisites for Math 130H and Psychology 210H.
Honors Transfer Program Membership: To be an active participant in the program, beginning students must have a high
school GPA of 3.2 and enroll in English 101 in their first semester. Continuing students must have a GPA of 3.2 for all transferable college
courses, and must have completed English 101 with an “A” or “B.” Students must take at least 12 units and at least one honors course each
semester. All active participants are required to attend an honors orientation meeting before or during their first semester in the program.
They must also meet with the Honors Counselor each semester. Students do not have to be active participants in the program to enroll in
honors sections.
To Be Certified InThe Program Students Must:
• Attend an honors orientation meeting
• Complete all lower division prerequisites for their transfer
• Complete all general education transfer requirements (IGETC)
• Achieve an overall college GPA of at least 3.2
• Students who have completed the RHC Honors Transfer Pro-major as established by the transfer school
