Rio Hondo College Fringe Benefits

Rio Hondo College offers an excellent fringe benefits package including life medical benefits if qualified at the time of retirement.  Included in the package are District paid medical, dental, vision, employee assistance program and  a $50,000 life insurance policy. The medical is contracted with CalPERS who offers indemnity and HMOs from which the employee may select. Retirement is earned through either the Public Employee's Retirement System (PERS) that is also integrated with Social Security or State Teacher's Retirement System (STRS). Tax sheltered annuity programs and income protection/continuation plans are available through payroll deductions. Managers and Classified employees are also eligible for a modified cafeteria plan.
