of three modules. Each module is considered a separate stand-alone
course and will require independent registration. Completion of the
three modules meets the same requirements as the Regular Basic
Academy. The modules will be presented in the following order,
Module III (PAC 075B), Module II (PAC 075C) and Module I (PAC
075D). The academy will consist of 727 hours of instruction
and will be presented over an estimated twelve month timeline.
The
academy will be presented twenty hours a week. Module III
is 144 hours of instruction presented over eight weeks. Module II
is 189 hours of instruction and will be presented in ten weeks.
Module I is 394 hours of instruction and will be presented over
twenty weeks.

The selection
process for the 48 recruits will be based upon the POST Entry
Level Battery (T-Score) reading comprehension and writing skills, as
well as the POST Work Sample Battery Test (fitness test).
If the number of qualified applicants exceeds 48 people a lottery
will be used to make the final class selection. Qualified veterans
are encouraged to apply. Applicants will need to complete a
Department of Justice (DOJ) clearance for firearms, so they cannot
have any felony or domestic violence convictions. It is preferred
that applicants are twenty-one years or older.
