What are Online Services?
Rio Hondo Library subscribes to a large number of websites that offer everything from old magazine and newspaper articles, to specialized information on a wide variety of subjects. Many offer full text copies of the information you searched for, while others just offer the information you need to retrieve it from the Library’s back issues of magazines or newspapers.
Can I access the library’s databases from home?
Yes, as a registered Rio Hondo College student you have online access to Online databases 24/7. When you are at home or at an off-campus computer, go to the library webpage. Click on Find Articles in Databases. Then, just click on the database you wish to use. Databases are sorted by Subject, Most Popular and Title.
If you are off Off-Campus, there are some additional steps. To access online databases from Off-Campus please go to AccessRio…
…and log in. Now click on the Library tab…
then go to the Library Online Databases section.
Now you can click on the databases you want to use and you’re brought straight to that databases.
If you don’t see the databases you need on the list, that means it’s available for On-Campus use only.
