Priority
Registration
Mesa Students who satisfy the listed requirements can earn
priority registration for the next semester:
- Establish or review your three year plan on file with the
Counselor or the Director during the current semester. (New plans must be
established with the MESA counselor, Dianne Martinez). Ed-Plans must be
current to qualify for priority registration.
- Turn in your mid-semester grade report. Fall 2009 due on
October 112, 2009
- Do not drop a Math or Science Course during the current
semester (you must consult with the director before you drop any course!!!)
- Participate in MESA actively in one or
more of the following
- StrengthsQuest Seminar completion
- Study Skills Seminar
- Academic Excellence Workshop completion
- 20 or more hours of study time in the MESA center
or the MSC (before the deadline)
- Apply for a scholarship, stipend (other than FAFSA) or
summer research opportunity
- Participation in the at least 2 of the following
during the semester:
- University or Industry Tours organized by Rio
Hondo College
- Workshops given through Mesa, the Career Center
or Transfer Center
- MESA Club
E-Board and/or
club activities
- Membership in a professional organization (SHPE,
SACNAS, etc)
- Other activities (those must be cleared with the
Director first)
It is your responsibility to
keep track and get the information to Dr. Spieler.
To get on the priority registration list for Spring 10 you must
complete have an updated Ed-Plan by October 12 and turn in the grade report.
You are
responsible to document your progress and make sure that the original form is
filled out and turned in on or before the due date. Lost forms can not be
replaced.
