RIO HONDO COLLEGE COMMUNITY SERVICES CLASSES
OFFERS PIANO INSTRUCTION AND SALSA DANCE LESSONS
WHITTIER, CA – This spring, Rio Hondo College’s Community Education
Services Department is offering interesting and economical arts
instruction for children. Salsa Dancing for Kids is being for
the first time this semester. Continuing is the popular Piano
for Children – All Levels.
Taught by salsa expert Diana deLuna, Salsa Dancing for Kids is
offered twice, once beginning February 4th and continuing through
March 11th and again starting April 8th and continuing through
May 13th. Cost for the series of classes is $41. Ms. deLuna teaches
the basics of salsa, and will cover basic patterns as well as
turns in free-style and with partners. By the end of the course,
participants will be able to perform a salsa combination using
all the techniques studied.
Piano for Children – All Levels begins on January 31st and continues
through May 9th. Instruction is tailored to the ability of the
student, so beginners as well as experienced pianists are encouraged
to join the class. Enrollment is open, so a student can sign up
at any time during the course and pay only a pro-rated share of
the $150 course fee. The class is open to adults as well as children.
Through Community Services Classes, Rio Hondo College offers
a broad range of classes for personal enrichment, professional
and career advancement and business development. All Community
Services classes, seminars and workshops are offered at very affordable
