Rio Hondo College offers over 95 degrees and certificates, classes that transfer to UC, Cal State or Private Universities. We will prepare you for success on and off the court.

Women’s Basketball Checklist

1. Apply on online. Send all official transcripts (High School/Other Colleges) to Admissions and Records. Check email for Student ID number.

2. Take Assessment Tests and  meet with Igor Daza, Counselor to get Ed Plan done. Your Ed Plan will help you progress towards transferring. Bring a Copy of Assessment Test  Scores (In the Counseling Office in Admissions)

3.   Make sure when you meet with a Counselor other than Igor Daza you tell them you are a Student Athlete so you can get on the Eligibility List (Nancy Galban, Eligibility Clerk)

4.   Take care of Financial Aid problems or any financial situations that will have an impact on you enrolling in classes.

5.   Freshmen make sure you have done all your Assessment Testing and Orientations (LRC 130). If this is not done you will be unable to get an ED Plan.

6.   You must be enrolled in 15 units minimum.

7.   In the Fall/Spring be sure to take all Mon/Wed classes Before 3pm and Tue/Thur. classes Before 1pm.

8.   Be Enrolled in the Fall Women's Intercollegiate Basketball Team Class PE 170  and in the Spring PE 205 and PE 147

9.  You must get a physical done ASAP. (Get paperwork from Basketball Office)

 Time Block Schedule for Women’s Basketball

 Class Times (15 units minimum)

Monday and Wednesday Classes 7 am – 3 pm and 7pm – 10 pm (Except for Wednesday Night)

Tuesday and Thursday Classes 7am – 1 pm and 7pm – 10 pm

 Study Hall Times (6 hours minimum)

Tuesday and Thursday 1 pm – 3 pm

Weight Room Times

Tuesday and Thursday 3pm – 4pm  

Practice Times

Monday – Friday 4 pm – 6 pm

Pre Season Conditioning Friday 6am – 8am
