Women's
basketball returned to the court at Rio Hondo College in 1996
after a fourteen year absence. The Roadrunners belong to the
Foothill Conference. Rio Hondo provides athletes with the
opportunity to play intercollegiate basketball and continue
their education. The women's basketball program takes great pride in
providing the student/athlete with the best of both world's, playing
a strong schedule of games and promoting an academic experience that
will help them transfer to a university. The women's program has
been very successful. They were Conference Champions in 1999,
2000 and 2002. During the 2002-03 season the women will travel to
San Diego and Monterey for games. If you love to play
basketball and want an education that has a future Rio Hondo College
