APRIL 2008- Women's Tennis has once again gone undefeated
in conference to Win the Foothill Conference Championship for the 3rd
consecutive year. Head Coach Karen Unger credits her teams hard work and
dedication. The team will compete in the Foothill Conference Championships April
18-20 in Palm Springs. The team looks forward to competing at the 107th Ojai
Intercollegiate tournament the following week and then on to the Regional and
State Championships. Congratulations Women's Tennis Team.

The Rio Hondo Lady Roadrunners belong to the Foothill
Conference. This is one of the most competitive tennis leagues in the California
Community College tennis circuit. Opportunities for a premier tennis experience are
evident. All players compete in a vigorous pre-season tournaments and matches. The season
is geared toward the attainment of individual and team goals. Regional and state play give
the student exposure to the highest level of competition.
Rio Hondo offers the player various academic programs and the opportunity to compete in a
nurturing and caring environment. The highlight of the season is participation in the Ojai
tournament, the oldest community college tournament in the United States. These types of
experiences offer the player at Rio Hondo tremendous exposure for networking towards four
year programs.
