Exciting New Dance Course
Offered!
Introduction to World Dance is open to all students interested in
studying dances representative of different cultures and nationalities.
Students will learn dances from multiple cultures and evaluate the similarities
and differences of the works within these cultures. Dances will be analyzed
based on their salient movement qualities, including Body, Effort, Space, and
Shape, taking into consideration historical background and related folklore.
This activity course may be taken a maximum of four times.

Days: Tuesday and Thursday
Time: 7:00-8:25 PM
Dance Audition
The audition is open to
all dancers regardless of training or dance styles. Material will be presented
at the audition including Modern, Jazz, Hip hop, and Ballet. Dancers will be
chosen on talent, potential, and availability for projects including Evening of
Dance, the Rio Hondo Dance Collective, and the American College Dance Festival.

National Dance Week
A week-long celebration of dance with
free classes for all ages and skill levels.
Classes will include many different dance styles including African dance with
live music and classical Indian dance.
