The Child Development/Education Department focuses on
vocational and transfer education. The department offers a 15 unit
Preschool Teacher Certificate of Achievement, an overall 24 unit Child
Development Certificate of Achievement and an Associate of Science
Degree in Child Development. The department includes an integrated
program of traditional and nontraditional course offerings in
conjunction with the Child Development on-campus center. The program
also provides practical and field opportunities to meet the matrix
requirements for the state of California Child Development Permits.
