Spring 2010 Grants
Department/Division
Grants- Geared toward providing your division, department, or work
group a chance to satisfy a common professional development need. Is
there a speaker, workshop, fieldtrip or other creative project that could
help your area enhance its skills? Consider applying for this grant.
Maximum Award: $1800
Funding Priorities: Projects which contain a detailed
description of the process used to ensure buy in and participation
for the proposed activity. See application for other required details.
Individual & Small Group Grants -For individuals or small groups in
need of support for conference attendance, training, or other projects
geared toward enhancing their professional skills.
Maximum Award: $1200
New Note: Maximum Amount possible for multiple individuals
attending the same event: $1800
Maximum Amount possible for Part-time faculty: $200
Funding Priorities: Applicants which detail how the
project will also benefit and be disseminated to the largest appropriate
campus audience. See application for other required details.

Low
cost Trainings & Conferences- Interested in a low cost workshop or
training (i.e. @One Institutes) but not the paperwork of a traditional
grant? Staff Development has set aside $2000 for 2008-2009 to reimburse
local training/conference attendance.
Maximum Award: $200
Application Process: Submit a
signed travel requisition and the brief application describing how
this event will improve your professional skills. If approved, fill
out all required paperwork for reimbursement within 30 days of event
participation.
CSEA Educational Reimbursement Fund-Are you aware that
CSEA staff can get up to $1000 each year to reimburse costs for education
and/or trainings? Priority is given for education/training directly related
to current or projected job duties, but if funds allow, it may be possible
to receive support for cultural enrichment and/or other general education
courses. Be sure to seek approval from your supervisor AND the
CSEA/Human Resources committee prior to registration.
We do anticipate
a Summer Round of Grants taking place in April 2010 that will cover
May-September 2010.
