Reaching every student by helping you achieve your
educational goals and academic success is our priority by assisting you
with your financial needs. All students are encouraged to apply
for financial aid EVEN IF YOU DON'T THINK YOU WILL QUALIFY.
Financial Aid is designed to be used as a supplemental income for your
educational expenses. Please note: it may not cover your total
expenses. Rio Hondo College (RHC) participates in most Federal and
State financial aid programs.

Attention:
The office of Financial aid will be uploading your 2013/2014
Financial Aid applications. You will be receiving an email
from our office informing you when we have your application in
our system. You will be instructed to log on to your
Access Rio Portal to view any unsatisfied requirements.
Students should be receiving these emails beginning the week of
June 24th. Before
you come to the counter and ask about your status, please check
your status on your Access Rio Portal.

Financial Aid funds are now disbursed
through the Higher One Debit card
Financial aid funds will be disbursed to financial aid
students through their debit card from Higher One. We must have
your accurate mailing address. Please check your AccessRio
Account and update your mailing address online or visit the Admissions
and Records Office.
Financial Aid students please look for your debit card
in the mail.

disbursements held until mid-semester grades are verified
effective Spring 2012

Account. Financial Aid alerts will be sent to your RioMail email.
- Financial Aid information
and status is now available through AccessRio online.
- Documents CANNOT be
faxed to our department. All documents must be brought
in or mailed.
- Documents will be processed in the
date order received. Due to increase in financial aid
applicants, please allow at least 8-12 weeks for processing
from submission of documents. Check your AccessRio
account to monitor your file status and any pending
Unsatisfied requirements.
