Financial Aid Students! Friday May24,
2013 at 11am is the last day to submit any pending documentation
to complete your 2012-2013 Financial Aid Grant eligibility
ATTENTION 2013/2014 FINANCIAL AID
STUDENTS:
Due to unforeseen technical difficulties
impacting our Information Technology (IT) Department, the
Financial Aid Office is unable to process any 2013-2014 FAFSA
applications at this time. Therefore, if you have
completed the 2013-2014 FAFSA application, we are not able to
determine your eligibility at this time.
How
does this affect you?
1.
The
Financial Aid Office is unable to determine your BOGW
eligibility for the Summer 2013 semester . This includes
the Dream Act students.
2.
The
Financial Aid Office is unable to determine your Federal/State
aid eligibility for the 2013-2014 year
At this time we do not have
an estimated date as to when this issue will be resolved,
however, we do expect this will be resolved before the
Summer session (drop for non-payment) deadline date.
You will receive on-going status communications to your Rio
Hondo Student E-mail account regarding this matter. We
appreciate your patience and understanding and we apologize for
this brief inconvenience.
UPDATE:
We have an update for you on the status of the 2013-2014 FAFA
Application. Our Information Technology Department (IT) has
isolated the problem. The Financial Aid Office will begin
to receive 2013-2014 processed FAFSA applications beginning May
31. Please note we are not able to determine your BOGW
eligibility until we begin to receive your FAFSA applications.
All students who have submitted a VALID financial
aid application
and California Dream Act Application by May 31, 2013 (no
errors or rejections) and are eligible for the BOG waiver, will
have the BOGW posted on their account prior to the payment
deadline date. Please note that any student applying for FAFSA
beginning the week of June 3rd, there is no
guarantee that the BOGW will be uploaded in time. We
expect to begin receiving student documentation to process
federal/state aid eligibility beginning June 17. We appreciate
your patience and understanding and we apologize for this brief
inconvenience.
