RHC COUNSELOR GUIDE FOR ADVANCED PLACEMENT OR COURSE CREDIT:

Things to Look For in Articulation Agreement:

1. Will the student be able to apply for credit?
You will know if the student may apply for credit if the Credit By Exam box is checked off in the articulation agreement. If it is, then the student may apply for credit. If the Test Required box is checked off, then the student will be required to take the exam at Rio Hondo College.

The student has two choices available under the section Credit By Examination Transcript Option:
(1) Grade, and (2) Credit/No Credit. If grade is listed, then student must indicate the grade option on the Credit by Examination form. If Credit/No Credit is listed, then the student may only apply for the credit/no credit option on the Credit by Examination Form.

If the Credit by Exam box is not checked off, then the student will only be able to apply for advanced placement into the course listed in the articulation agreement. In some cases only the Advanced Placement box will be checked off.

2. Please check high school/adult school/ROP course title.

3. Please check the school/adult school/ROP course minimum grade requirement.

4. Please refer to Articulation Year.
Please refer to the Course Articulation example.
