Follow the CSU or IGETC general education requirements - to transfer to CSU,
requirements will vary, meet with a counselor.

In addition to your general education, do as much of your major preparation
courses at Rio Hondo, access www.assist.org

Meet with your Rio Hondo College counselor twice a semester, (562) 908-3410. Requirements change regularly so its important for you to be updated with the change.

Make an appointment in the Transfer Center, (562) 463-4619, to see your school representative. Its important for you to network with these representatives.
It is these representatives who read your essay and application.

Attend the transfer tours, fairs and workshops.
The more time you spend preparing yourself the better prepared you will be
regarding transferring.

Apply to more than one school. "Dont put all your eggs in one basket".
A great rule of thumb is to apply when you have completed
at least 30 or more transferable units.
