UC Transfer Requirements

1. Complete a minimum of  60, maximum 70 semester units of transferable college credit.

2. Minimum grade point average depends on major and school impaction 

3. Complete the following course pattern, earning a grade of C or better in each course:

• Two transferable college courses in English composition
   

• One transferable college course in mathematical concepts and quantitative reasoning
   

• Four transferable college courses chosen from at least two of the following subject areas: the arts and humanities, the social and behavioral sciences, and the physical and biological sciences.

Completing the following is highly recommended, depending on major.

• The IGETC general education course pattern is highly recommended for most majors. Please schedule an appointment with a counselor for specific details on IGETC.
   

• You should also complete as many major preparation classes as possible at the community college before transferring.  Please refer to www.assist.org for major articulation and classes.
