Session 2: Powertrain Management Electrical Repair
Description: This course is intended for the individual who needs an overview of proper wiring harness repair techniques on vehicles that use Allison Automatic Transmissions. This course will primarily cover an overview of the vehicle wiring harness between the Engine and Transmission EDU, as well as the Vehicle Interface Module (VIM). This course will also discuss in detail system troubleshooting procedures, and advanced wiring repair procedures of the interface wiring harness. Upon completion of this course, the student will not only have a complete understanding of the interface wiring harness, they can also build a special tool, a break out harness, that connects the modules together, and be able to take it back to the shop with them, simplifying diagnostic procedures. This harness will be available at an extra cost of $50.00.

Session 1 BioDiesel Seminar
Description: This course is intended for the individual who needs an introduction to one of the fastest growing, cleanest liquid alternative fuels – BioDiesel. This course will primarily cover an overview of this renewable energy source, including its background, history, future and present use as an alternative fuel. This course will also discuss in detail BioDiesel production and some of the operational and fuel quality issues that, at times, tend to prohibit it gaining social and technological acceptance by American businesses and the general public. Upon completion of this course, the student will not only have a complete understanding of the challenges and benefits of BioDiesel, they will also make a ‘mini-batch’ of the fuel from used vegetable oil, and be able to take it back with them.
