John Frala and Bruce Nobel in Rio Hondo Alternative Fuels Lab
The unique relationship between Rio Hondo Alternative Fuels and Valley Power Systems is much larger than anticipated. Rio Hondo was seeking a supporter from the industry in 2004 for a Industry Driven Regional Collaborative grant, (IDRC), and Valley stepped forward supporting this education project with a new contact between Allison Transmission and Rio Hondo College to provide training to not only the local community but to the entire Transit industry. This linked allowed John Frala to travel to Indiana corporate headquarters of Allison Transmission for train the trainer sessions. A special thanks from Rio Hondo College to the President Mike Barnett, the General Manager Bruce Nobel, Service personnel, Rex Silvey, Craig Nelson, and Danny.
