Edward Gonzalez is a
full time Civil and Architectural Drafting and Design
Instructor. Mr. Gonzalez joined the faculty in 2005 after five
years of teaching Computer Aided Drafting/Design (CADD),
Architectural Design and Geographic Information System (GIS) at
Eagle Rock High School, Walnut High School and Glen A. Wilson
High School. He has also taught CADD for five years as a
part-time instructor at Rio Hondo College. He brings with him
over 20 years experience in the construction industry especially
in the areas of construction inspection, contract administration
and construction management. He has worked with various local
governmental agencies in the Los Angeles area implementing
community development programs that focus on the construction of
affordable housing. These include: the Department of Housing
and Community Development for the State of California, and the
Community Development Departments of the City of Monterey Park,
City of Compton and the County of Los Angeles. He has also
served as a consultant to L.A. based architectural firms in the
areas of production and training of staff on CADD. Mr. Gonzalez
has a Bachelors in Vocational Education (BVE) from California
State University Los Angeles.
