 Gary Halvorson is an Associate Professor of Engineering Design Drawing, CADD and Architecture. Mr. Halvorson joined the Rio Hondo Faculty in 2001 after seventeen years as local high school Drafting and Construction teacher.  Mr. Halvorson has experience teaching at the High School, Community College and University level.  In addition to teaching drafting related subjects, Mr. Halvorson has also been involved with a number of teacher training programs.  Mr. Halvorson has been awarded "Teacher Of The Year" honors by professional associations and school districts.  Mr. Halvorson also brings trade experience into the classroom, having run his own business designing and building custom furniture and providing design and finish carpentry services.  Mr. Halvorson has a B.A. Degree in Industrial Technology from California State University, Fresno and a M.A. Degree in Vocational Education from California State University, Los Angeles.
