Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is an increasingly ubiquitous technology in research, education, and our daily lives. Many working professionals are discovering the importance of GIS as a tool in their assignments. WIth guidance of advisory groups and following the mission of the community colleges, the certificate provides basic skills instruction as is needed to facilitate a practical and marketable GIS portfolio.
