
The Blended Learning Dental Assisting program is a competency-based course designed to provide the student with the skills and knowledge necessary to strengthen the student’s ability to seek employment as a Dental Assistant and pursue programs to further their education in the dental field, such as, Dental Hygienist or Doctor of Dental Surgery D.D.S. Students will have online access 24 hours a day. Our online curriculum allows the student to complete the course in 14 weeks, meeting twice a week for Clinical hands-on Instruction with emphasis on chairside back-office dental procedures. Using modern technology in a State-Of-The Art facility students will learn, radiographic procedures, digital x-ray technology, dental procedures, sterilization, Infection control, dental laboratory procedures, dental materials, equipment preparation and care, patient education, general office terminology and medical emergency procedures, included in the course is American Heart CPR certification. Student must demonstrate competency in Dental Assisting skills to receive certification. Upon Successful completion of the program students will earn Dental Board approved Certifications in Radiation Safety, and Infection Control.
