Sign Language Interpreting Services for Students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing (DHH).
Students who use sign language interpreters will be provided qualified interpreters to interpret live classroom communication including but not limited to lectures, labs, discussions, group work, presentations, and field trips. Interpreters are also provided for academic and non-academic services on campus such as academic counseling, tutoring, office hours, and health services appointments upon advanced request.
Students who use real-time captioning services will have captioners provide live in classroom communication via a stenograph and laptop or another electronic devise. Audible classroom communication will appear in real-time on a monitor for the student to read.
