Student Services Building a Learning Institution (BLI) Training
Student Services has partnered with Institutional Research and Planning to create training modules as a part of the program called “Building a Learning Institution”(BLI).
Unit 1 – Introduction

Unit 2 – Developing a SLO/SAO Outcome Statement
September 14, 2017; 9:30-11:30 am; LR128
Each program will need to meet with their program team and collaborators to finalize 1-2 SLOs or SAOs to be emailed to Shaina Phillips and Rachel Garcia by 9/21/17.
Unit 3 – Assessment Methods
September 28, 2017; 9:30 -11:30 am; LR128
Each program will need to meet with their program team, collaborators and research support person to discuss possible sources of data and set benchmarks for the proposed SLO/SAO by 10/13/17.
Unit 4 – Analyzing the Data and Closing the Gap
October 19, 2017; 9:30-11:30 am; LR128
Each program lead will need to meet with their program team to perform a final review of their statement, assessment tool and measurement. Check in with research support as needed. Email the best version of your statements to Rachel Garcia by 10/26/17.
