Assessment Testing

Please note: The
schedule is subject to

Our office
and the testing lab will be closed for the Thanksgiving
Holiday;

Thurs., Nov. 26,
Fri. Nov. 27 and Sat. Nov. 28.

DIRECTIONS:
-
Our testing lab has been
moved to our new building. Be sure to look at the map of
the college (found on our website) to familiarize yourself
with the campus so that your testing experience will be a
smooth one.
-
You will need to stop at the
Parking Booth (temporarily
relocated) located on lot 2
under the canopy (to the left hand side) as
you drive up on College Drive.
-
A parking permit is required
when taking your Assessment Test. The cost of the permit is
$1.00 to park in the student stalls only. The closest
Student parking lot to the Assessment Center is Lot "C."
-
The LAB is
located in the
new Learning Resource Center (marked LR on the map) in room LR-130 (Assessment
Center) on the1st floor.
-
As you reach
the main front doors of the building (N/E), please turn to
the right and follow the walkway along side of the building to enter through the
smaller (N/W) entrance.
-
NOW THAT YOU ARE HERE;
-
As you enter through the glass
double doors, LR130 is located to your right.
-
Enter the lab
quietly
as to not disturb others who are testing and please wait to
be helped.

WHAT
WILL YOU NEED IN ORDER TO TAKE YOUR TEST?
-
You will need to
BE
CURRENTLY ENROLLED
to attend the
INTERSESSION
2010
or the
SPRING 2010 Semester.
-
You
will
need to know your R.H.C. Student I.D. number;
e.g. 00X-XX-XXXX
-
You will
have to
present a current picture I.D.;
e.g. Driver's license, California ID, School I.D., RHC
Student ID, Passport.
-
You will need to take
the math pre-test prior
to taking your math test.
-
We offer 3 levels of math
tests; Algebra Readiness, Elementary Algebra and
Intermediate Algebra.
-
The pre-test will help you
determine which one of the 3 tests offered will be the one you
will need to take when you come in.
-

on the upper left hand column of this page.

You will also be able to
access a practice test per each level by clicking on
"Math Test Downloads" on the upper left hand column of
this page.

Assessment Testing, which consists of taking an English,
reading and math test, is
now taking place for the Intersession 2010 classes
(Monday, January 4 - Thursday, January 28) and for the
Spring 2010 Semester (Saturday, January 30-Thursday, May
27) as follows:

Challenge, CPAt and the CELSA tests are offered at the times

test will be offered at 11:00 a.m.)

These are tests for students who have previously
taken the Assessment tests and wish to challenge those
scores.

CPAt Test (Ability to
Benefit Test)
This
test is only for
students who are seeking Financial Aid and who do not
possess a High School Diploma or GED. It is
required by the Financial Aid Office.
-
CELSA-This
test is only for
students for whom English is their second language
and are seeking Financial Aid and who do not possess a High
School Diploma or GED. It is required by the Financial
Aid Office.
-
5:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m.
- (Last test will be offered at 7:30 p.m.).
-
