Río Hondo College is committed to providing a website that is accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We want all students, employees, and community members to be able to find information, use online services, and take part in college programs.

Our Standard

The Río Hondo College website aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). This work supports our obligations under Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act, Sections 504 and 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, and California Government Code Section 11135.

How We Support Accessibility

We build and review web content with accessibility in mind, and we use automated monitoring and manual testing to find and fix barriers. College staff who publish web content and documents receive accessibility training. When we buy technology, we review it for accessibility.

Known Limitations

Some parts of the website may not yet fully meet our standard. These include older PDF and Office documents, archived content, and some third-party platforms and embedded tools. We are working to fix these. If you need information in an alternate format, such as an accessible document or large print, contact us and we will work with you to provide it.
