Río Hondo College is a great place to fulfill lower division general education requirements and to begin preparing for your major prior to transfer. Taking advantage of the programs and services offered through the Transfer Center will prepare you to be successful in your transfer process. We’re here to assist you in achieving your transfer goals, whether it be to transfer to a CSU, UC, out-of-state, or private university.

Summer 2026 Transfer Academies

Interested in transferring to a university but not sure where to start? Or getting ready to apply for transfer soon? The Río Hondo College Transfer Center invites students to participate in our free Summer Transfer Academies — one-week intensive programs designed to help students explore transfer opportunities, prepare for the application process, and build confidence in their transfer journey.

Students will participate in transfer workshops, university campus tours, transfer planning activities, and learn more about programs and opportunities such as UC TAG, CSU Transfer Success Pathway (TSP), Dual Admission programs, EOP, and more. Meals and program shirts will be provided at no cost to participants.

Summer Counseling Services

Need to meet with a counselor this summer? Counseling appointments and drop-in services are available through the Counseling Center.

Counselors can assist with educational planning, course selection, transfer preparation, graduation requirements, and other academic support services.

Planning to complete your Associate Degree for Transfer?

Be sure to submit your Graduation Petition so your degree can be awarded. This step is essential, especially if you applied through Cal State Apply and need your ADT verified for admission.
