How to Use the GPA Calculator
This calculator is used to estimate grade point average (GPA); refer to transcripts or see a Counselor to get exact GPA.
- Enter Current GPA (Optional): If you know it, enter your current GPA and total credits.
- Add a Semester: Click Add Semester and name it (e.g., “Spring 2024”).
- Add Courses: Click Add Course and fill in the course name, grade, and credits.
- See Your GPA: Check Show Semester GPA to see your GPA for that semester, or view your overall GPA under Cumulative GPA at the bottom.

Step 1: Start with Your Current GPA (Optional)
- If you already know your GPA, type it into the Current GPA box.
- Enter the total number of credits you’ve earned so far in the Total Credits box.
- If you don’t know this info, skip this part and move to Step 2.
Step 2: Add Your Semester
- Click the Add Semester button to add a new section for one of your semesters, like “Spring 2024.”
- You can change the name of the semester by clicking on it (for example, rename it to “Fall 2023”).
Step 3: Add Your Classes
- Click Add Course to add a new class to the semester.
- For each class:
- Type the name of the class (like “Math” or “English”).
- Pick your grade from the dropdown menu (like A, B+, or C).
- Enter how many credits the class is worth (this is usually written on your report card or schedule).
Step 4: See Your Semester GPA
- If you want to see your GPA for just one semester, check the Show Semester GPA box under that semester. The semester GPA will show up right there.
Step 5: Check Your Cumulative GPA
- The Cumulative GPA at the bottom of the page adds up all your grades and credits to show your overall GPA.
Extra Tips:
- If you make a mistake, you can remove a class by clicking the Remove button next to it.
- You can add as many semesters and courses as you want to keep track of all your grades.
