The goal of the Grants Office is to enhance student success by assisting our college resources in the strategic pursuit of external funding opportunities that aligns with Rio Hondo’s mission, values, and goals. We seek to support innovative, best of class, and sustainable excellence in instructional and student support services, along with a firm commitment to fiscal accountability and programmatic compliance.
We are available to assist faculty and staff in developing and managing grants by: 1. Alerting college divisions and service areas to funding possibilities, cycles, and deadlines, 2. Assisting with research, development, and submission of proposals and; 3. Supporting the monitoring, reporting, and renewing of existing grants. To view our Grant Development process, Click Here.
The Launch Pad is the starting point for all new grant and sub-grant award funding opportunities. Its purpose is to clearly document your program idea and ensure there is departmental and institutional approval of your proposal concept and budget estimate. In order to maintain an efficient grant process this is to be submitted online before any effort is applied to writing a proposal and/or submitting a grant application. Only proposals with prior institutional approval may be submitted for funding. The Grants Office is the only entity authorized to submit applications on behalf of Rio Hondo College. Here are the benefits of this process:
- Thought out concept summary and budget
- Institutional awareness and support
- Enhancement of funding potential
- Increased effectiveness of project implementation
