Counseling Center is committed to aiding each student in establishing, clarifying, and pursuing personal educational/career goals. The primary responsibility of the counseling staff is to provide counseling support for Rio Hondo students, faculty, and the campus community.
Counselors can assist students with a variety of needs:

- Graduation requirements
- Transfer requirements to four-year colleges and universities
- Personal problems
- Scholarships and financial aid programs
- Tutoring
- Communication with a professor
Students should meet with a counselor by appointment well in advance of the registration period. Contact the Counseling Center with your Rio Hondo Student ID#.
IMPORTANT NEW INFORMATION ABOUT PRIORITY REGISTRATION FOR NEW STUDENTS
In accordance with new state regulations, students who plan to enroll at Rio Hondo College are to be provided with Core Matriculation Services after applying:

- Counseling/Advising Services

New students who do not complete core matriculation services are not eligible for Priority Registration and may have a hold placed on their registration. Students may be exempt from some or all of the components of matriculation if they meet certain criteria.
