The California Community Colleges Bachelor’s Degree Program

California’s economy is demanding more educated workers. In just a few years, that demand will reach critical mass. The Public Policy Institute of California says, “If we don’t ramp-up college access and completion rates, by the year 2030, California will have a shortage of 1.1 million workers with a bachelor’s degree.

To help meet the demand, the California Community Colleges are now offering an innovative program: The California Community Colleges Baccalaureate Degree Program.

“Four-year degrees at community colleges will help create the future workforce in our state. These affordable and high-quality degrees available at community colleges are transforming people’s lives, allowing them to get good-paying jobs close to home.”

-Jerry Hill, California State Senator (2012-2020)
