Río Hondo College is fully accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges (ACCJC) of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). The College submitted its Institutional Self Evaluation Report in December 2021. The ACCJC comprehensive site visit occurred in March 2022. Since then, the college has collaborated with its stakeholder groups to produce the Follow Up Report in accordance with the commission action letter dated June 2022. The Follow Up Report was presented to the Board of Trustees for approval in May 2023 in advance of submission to the ACCJC. The College successfully passed its follow up site visit in November 2023. Most recently, the College has produced its Midterm Report in collaboration with stakeholders, submitted the Midterm Report to the Board of Trustees for approval in January 2026, and submitted the approved report the ACCJC following Board approval. The College anticipates its next comprehensive visit in Spring 2029.
