 The Writing Workshop - L501

The Writing Workshop is a writing environment where you can practice and develop your writing skills with the aid of a computer and English instructors. English instructors are available to help you in all phases of your writing experience.  Writing Workshop classes are required for students in English 30 and 35 composition classes.

The Writing Workshop is designed to focus on the act of writing.  It will support your work in your English 30 or 35 class by providing opportunities to work on class assignments.  However, the Writing Workshop is not a study hall.  You will receive 1 unit of credit for the Workshop providing you meet all of the writing workshop requirements. You'll get out of it what you put into it.  If you attend the Writing Workshop you will see a marked difference in the way you write.  Students who have successfully completed the Writing Workshop usually move on to English 101 with confidence in their writing skills.
