Steve
Hebert
was hired in the summer of 2001
Coach Hebert as well as being a head coach, has been an educator since 1985
teaching both health and physical education. Steve grew up in the
San Joaquin
Valley
town of
Dinuba
. He graduated from Dinuba High and went on to
Reedley
College
and College of the Sequoias in
Visalia
. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree from
Cal
Poly
State
University
in
San Luis Obispo
in 1984. In 1992 he obtained a Master's degree in Education from
Azusa
Pacific
University
. He has coached and taught in a variety of communities and
regions (Lynwood 1985-86, Dinuba High 1986-88, Monrovia High 1988-91, and Don
Lugo High School in Chino
1991-2001).
Steve is a full time tenured professor in the Physical Education
department at
Rio
Hondo. His current assignment includes both health and activity
classes.
On
a personal note, Steve has been married to Paula since 1989. Paula is also
in education working as a high school counselor. Steve and Paula have two
daughters Jessica and Danielle.
